On Tuesday, January 12 at 7 p.m. LWVAAC will meet via Zoom for our annual program planning session. See details below on how to register.
Program Planning is part of what makes the League a grassroots organization. Program, in League lingo, is a sweeping term that refers to everything from the positions we’ve adopted and the studies we undertake to the programs we choose to sponsor. Program can include both educational and advocacy work. Each League member has the opportunity to influence the selection of issues where the League will focus its time and talent. The program planning process is your voice!
To facilitate a meaningful discussion, it's important that you review the current positions of both our League and the state League before the meeting. To see LWVAAC positions click here. To view LWVMD positions click here. For a "deeper dive" into LWVMD positions, follow the links found here.
Member's input is valued and needed. It is the enthusiasm and interest of our members that keep our program vital.
