Want to help develop a shared vision for the future of your Anne Arundel County Region? Consider applying to your Region's Stakeholder Advisory Committee.
The Anne Arundel County Executive and County Council will work together to appoint members of three Stakeholder Advisory Committees (SACs) for the next round of Region Plans under the auspice of the Exec’s Planning and Zoning Office. Now is the time to apply! Applications are available at aacounty.org/regionplans, and entries will be accepted until 11:59 pm on July 11, 2023.
The second round of Region Plans will address three areas of the County:
- Region 1 - Linthicum Heights, Brooklyn Park, Curtis Bay, Ferndale, and parts of Hanover and Severn
- Region 3 - Glen Burnie, Severn, and part of Millersville
- Region 9 - North Beach, Tracy’s Landing, Deale, Churchton, Shadyside, West River, Galesville, Mayo, and Edgewater
Each SAC will be made up of a diverse mix of the region’s civic, business, environmental, and other stakeholders, including residents of the planning area or those who own or manage a business within the planning area. The SACs will play a key role in developing the Region Plans, meeting regularly to collaborate on goals and actions, and making recommendations on proposed zoning changes during the comprehensive zoning process.
