LWVAAC kicks off its Sunday Symposium series on January 7, 2024 with a virtual discussion of current planning & zoning policy and action in Anne Arundel County.  

For this first session, we've invited Matt Minahan, Chair of the Growth Action Network, to present his views of the situation in our county with respect to planning & zoning and land use. After a brief Q&A, we'll invite members to share their observations, concerns and hopes for the future from the standpoint of local land use. We'll conclude by evaluating whether the League has a public policy position that supports our members' goals or additional study is needed.

As explained on p. 5 of our December 2023 newsletter, each session in LWVAAC's Sunday Symposium series will focus on one of LWVAAC's public policy positions. The meetings are open to all LWVAAC members. They will be held every other week beginning January 7 from 2 to 3 p.m. via Zoom. The meeting schedule appears below.
