How to Raise a Citizen (And why it's up to you to do it)
Please join us for a special local appearance by author and educator Lindsey Cormack, PhD! Dr. Cormack is an engaging speaker with an urgent message regarding the future of our democracy. Drawing on years of research, she will discuss the importance of understanding politics, and offer concrete ways parents, grandparents, caregivers and others can help youth build the skills and confidence they need to engage in our democracy.

About the speaker: Lindsey Cormack, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of the DCinbox at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ.
Beyond her focus on parenting and civics education, Dr. Cormack specializes in American politics, specifically strategic political communication in the contexts of Congress, veterans politics, women in politics, and electoral systems. Her research has been published in Political Behavior, Congress & the Presidency, American Politics Research, and The Legislative Scholar (among many others), as well as in popular outlets including the New York Times, The Washington Post, NBC News, The Hill, and more.
