Amending America: How Women Won the Vote

CANCELLED

Out of concern over COVID-19, this program will no longer take place on Thursday, April 2.  Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience and stay well!

Join Kate Campbell Stevenson as she brings to life through song, monologue and movement the struggle for women's suffrage in the United States, using the powerful words of Abigail Adams, First Lady and early women's rights activist; Rose Crabtree, Council member of the 1920 all-female Town Council of Jackson Hole, Wyoming; and Alice Paul, early 20th century suffragist and co-founder of the National Women's Party.

Ms. Stevenson's presentation celebrates the 100th anniversary of both the founding of the League of Women Voters and the ratification of the 19th Amendment, granting all women the right to vote in the United States.

This free, public event is co-hosted by the LWVAAC Education Fund and Anne Arundel County Public Libraries. Click here for more information.
