The League of Women Voters is a highly respected grassroots political organization. We educate and advocate on important local, state and national issues and offer nonpartisan voter services such as registration drives, candidate forums, civic instruction and voters' guides.
Who Are Our Members? Our members are women and men of voting age who want to become actively engaged to effect change and make a visible difference in our community.
Reasons You Should Join the League of Women Voters:
- Educate and inform your community on important issues, such as gerrymandering, money in politics and climate change;
- Encourage voting;
- Create opportunities for citizens to come together to discuss ideas and shape solutions for the future;

Join us for an evening with Elvia Thompson, Co-Founder and President of Annapolis Green, whose mission is to connect, inform, and inspire the greater Annapolis community to care for the environment. Ms. Thompson is a climate change advocate, trained by former Vice President Al Gore's Climate Reality program. She has over 25 years of experience at the Departments of Commerce and Defense, the Defense Intelligence Agency, and NASA.
With President Biden’s commitment to host a Leaders' Climate Summit on Earth Day 2021, LWVAAC is proud to offer this timely and inspiring presentation.
